TARDIS control room (The Armageddon Gambit)
At one point during his travels with Ace, the Seventh Doctor used a TARDIS control room which resembled a bright technological version of the control room he'd used at the end of his life.
There were roundels on the beige (COMIC: The Armageddon Gambit [+]Loading...["The Armageddon Gambit (comic story)"]) or white (COMIC: Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) walls and arches giving off yellow light. (COMIC: The Armageddon Gambit [+]Loading...["The Armageddon Gambit (comic story)"], Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) One of the roundels functioned as the TARDIS scanner. (COMIC: Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) Instead of the floor, the TARDIS console was attached to the ceiling by the time rotor. The Seal of Rassilon was located above the TARDIS doors and they had two Greek columns on either side of them, (COMIC: The Armageddon Gambit [+]Loading...["The Armageddon Gambit (comic story)"], Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) both features shared with the Seventh Doctor's final control room. (TV: Doctor Who [+]Loading...["Doctor Who (TV story)"]) The doors had taken on the appearance of the TARDIS police box exterior doors. (COMIC: The Armageddon Gambit [+]Loading...["The Armageddon Gambit (comic story)"], Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) The Doctor's long-used hatstand was by the doors.
On the opposite side of the room to the entrance was a large circular door leading to TARDIS corridors. Near this was also a spiral staircase leading upwards.
On one wall was a bookshelf with various chests, large books, armillary spheres, and an object in a glass case. Grouped together in one part of the room were a gramophone, a grandfather clock, a chair, and a lamp. (COMIC: The Armageddon Gambit [+]Loading...["The Armageddon Gambit (comic story)"], Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) At one point, a table was nearby with the books The Time Machine and The Hobbit. (COMIC: Operation Volcano [+]Loading...["Operation Volcano (comic story)"]) The Seventh Doctor kept a similar reading area in his final control room.
