The 2DIS was a device created by the Twelfth Doctor to return objects flattened by the Boneless to their original three-dimensional state, and from three-dimensions to two-dimensions again. Its name was pronounced as "two-dis", a play on the word TARDIS. The Doctor became frustrated when Clara mispronounced its name as "two-dee-iss." (TV: Flatline)
