::::I still like #1 but would amend my top vote to #8. Represents the episode well. I think it's just about 'readable' at thumbnail size, and the whole point of the Woman/episode is that she's just far enough away to make you squint a little. Also, there's no other clutter in the frame so she's very clearly the main focus which helps at thumbnail size. — [[User:Fractal|Fractal]] [[User talk:Fractal|•]] 17:26, 31 May 2024 (UTC) | ::::I still like #1 but would amend my top vote to #8. Does anyone know what it is? I know we literally see the sign, but it's hard to read for obvious reasons. And I don't recall it ever being spoken out loud. tbh, the best thing to do is get one of the figure, but that's, uh, impossible to do properly, given the nature of the thing. I've included one for completeness' sake. (I guess you could do one from the end, but that's both atypical and not a great shot imo.)
I think it's 1>2>3>4 for me. 3 would be the best, imo, if it was more legible at thumbnail size. But it's damn hard to see properly. Najawin ☎ 01:56, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- I think I agree on liking 1. Something with putatively-middle-aged-Ruby and Mad Jack/Roger could work, though…--Scrooge MacDuck ☎ 01:58, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed on "the woman would be good but alas" and I also think 1 works well - CodeAndGin | 🗨 | 02:07, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
My vote also goes to #1. — Fractal • 22:31, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- Throwing three of my own into the ring. I saw people saying how an image of the woman sounds like a given but is not ideal, so I thought maybe the woman with Ruby in the foreground could work. WaltK ☎ 23:53, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Well, to choose from what we already had, I guess 1 is the best option. 3 might work, but the cotton of the circle is so thin that it's a little hard to make out without englarging. WaltK ☎ 00:42, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- So, #1 it is? — Fractal • 09:03, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- It should surely be one of the characters approaching the mysterious woman, before running away, or else older Ruby with the glasses, since it's really a story about her (and it's a recognisable look, exclusive to this episode).
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 14:30, 28 May 2024 (UTC) - I like number #8. I there's a lot of empty space there, but that's what gives the episode its uneasy atmosphere. #1 maybe easily recognisable, but it doesn't really reflect the episode in the same way as the woman standing 73 yards away. 66 Seconds ☎ 09:54, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- 3>8>4, it's just bad at thumbnail size still. Najawin ☎ 11:55, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- 6 is the best on paper, to me, but I feel like we can find a better shot with a similar composition. Otherwise, 1 gets my vote, from among the current options (1-8).
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 17:12, 31 May 2024 (UTC) - Oh yes, and 8 is a very strong contender. Non-traditional, but entirely fits this story, so long as it can be read well enough at thumbnail.
× SOTO (☎/✍/↯) 17:13, 31 May 2024 (UTC) - Oh 8, no doubt about it. Dewinter ☎ 17:19, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
