Dark Gallifrey was an audio series produced by Big Finish Productions in celebration of their 25th anniversary of Doctor Who audio dramas,^[1] announced on 18 February 2024.^[1]^[2] It was released monthly from April 2024.

The series producer, Rob Valentine said that "Dark Gallifrey is a sprawling, multi-story event in which all the most dastardly Time Lords are being let out of the box in various unexpected ways. Some stories are very dark, others are wickedly funny, and some are absolutely insane. Expect a rogue's gallery of Gallifrey's most diabolical villains all taking to the stage. Their stories are wildly different, scripted by some of Big Finish's most acclaimed writers... and, behind it all, something massive is brewing."^[2]^[3]

The original cover for Part One of Morbius rendered the number with a digit. However, the further releases had their parts' numbers rendered with letters, leading to a new cover being created for Morbius Part One with the number rendered in letters.
