HAL 9000

HAL 9000 was a fictional AI which Anji Kapoor used as a mental reference point for real computer systems she could talk to. (PROSE: Dark Progeny [+]Loading...["Dark Progeny (novel)"])

The Ninth Doctor mentioned "HAL" alongside Alexa as an AI assistant which had been used at a point in human history. (AUDIO: Break the Ice [+]Loading...["Break the Ice (audio story)"])
