Fighting the Future was a book written by Joshua Naismith and published by Garden Tower Books.

In the late 2000s, Donna Noble purchased a copy of the book for her grandfather Wilf as a Christmas present. When he asked why she bought him it, she said that she didn't know, but thought it was something he should have. When Wilf showed him the book, the Tenth Doctor knew who Naismith was, having been shown him by the Ood Elder. He remarked that Donna's subconscious, the DoctorDonna, was still fighting to help.
