A radio, also known as a wireless, (HOMEVID: The Zero Imperative) was a communication device.

Radios were often used on Earth to play music that people could dance, sing and "fall in love" to. To Daleks, however, a radio was just noise. (TV: Evolution of the Daleks)

In Pete's World in 2007, (TV: Rise of the Cybermen) the radio (product code IE2306801) belonging to "ChatGuest1" had broken, so getting the help of the readers of Defending the Earth!, the readers went to the International Electromatics website, spoke with the IE ATSS, and told ChatGuest1 to change the batteries, but this didn't work. However the radio was fixed by pressing the FM button twice, and after finding a special wavelength for Cybus FM on the Cybus Fitness website hidden in plain sight, the following broadcast gave the readers their next clue to find the code to bring down Cybus Industries.
