Tech notes is an area chiefly for announcements more than discussions. While discussions aren't forbidden there, the forum tends to be a place to announce bugs, bug fixes, and other technical oddities which affect the day-to-day running of this wiki.

The Panopticon is a forum for matters of policy and procedure on this wiki. If you have questions about, or want to put forward a motion to alter, the way articles are named a certain way, or why our various policies are worded as they are, or really about anything having to do with the maintenance of this wiki, go to the Panopticon.

Inclusion debates is the specialised area of the Forum to debate how various works of fiction should be treated in light of our valid sources policy. Whether to change an already-covered source's status from invalid to valid, vice-versa, or even to propose to cover something which hasn't been covered on the Wiki at all thus far, this is the place to go.

The timey-wimey detector is the place where we postulate on timelines for various characters in the DWU. Like most other forums, it's spoiler free.

The Howling is a free-for-all discussion area where unmarked spoilers are allowed Go there to speculate, discuss trivia, get into a good ol' natter about your favourite character. Just don't violate our discussion policy — and remember this area of the Wiki is not intended for policy changes.

If you don't like unmarked spoilers, don't worry: we've enacted some protections to keep this area separate from the rest of the wiki. It's now in a completely different namepace to the three other Forums. That means searches won't return results from The Howling if you choose to turn that namespace off. For instance, if you searched in the above searchbox, nothing from The Howling will get through, because it only searches the forum namespace. Second, we've moved the discontinuity index out of The Howling, meaning that it is now a solidly spoiler-free zone. Thus, The Howling now has a single purpose, and the "wall" of that unique purpose "insulates" it from the rest of the wiki.

The discontinuity index is a spoiler-free zone where you can discuss all the narrative problems — the plot holes, the continuity gaffes and the downright disjunction — between stories.
