Murray Stevens, by some accounts known as Murray Lever, was an Australian scientist and assistant to Rudolph Steiner on the Gemini Plan. He calculated that the plan to move Venus to Earth's orbit would lead to the destruction of Earth, but Steiner refused to listen. Murray sabotaged the computer room and fled, meeting the Third Doctor along the way. After a meeting with a group of Aborigines, Murray helped the Doctor stop the project and alerted UNIT to the goings-on. (COMIC: Gemini Plan)
