The ninth issue of the Doctor Who DVD Files - "The Ultimate Build-up Doctor Who Encyclopaedia" had a cover date of 6 May 2009.

Collectable loose leaf pages divided into seven categories that could be filed accordingly.
- Robots and Reptiles
- K9: Faithful Hound
- Cast Away!
- Shop Horror!
DVD release (with cover blurb)[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Each issue came with a DVD release covering two episodes.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.
- "May I introduce Miss Sarah Jane Smith?"
- Mickey alerts the Tenth Doctor and Rose to strange goings-on at Deffry Vale School in London. The TARDIS crew go undercover — and bump into the Doctor's old friends Sarah Jane Smith and K9, who are also on the case. But will the Krillitanes prove too deadly for them all?
- "I'm the Lord of Time — and I'm here to fix the clock!"
- The last thing the Doctor expects to find on an abandoned spaceship is 18th century France! The ship's sinister Clockwork Robots have murder on their minds — but why do they want to kill Madame de Pompadour? And can the Doctor save her life if it means sacrificing his life with Rose?
