An IP added the following this story must occur after Snakedance. I have seen this sort of thing before. The argument goes something like this:
The Doctor mentions these stories to try and figure out where the fifth doctor is. He mentions Cybermen, The Master, Time Lords in Fynny hats, the mara, Nyssa and Tegan - so it must be somewhere in there. Since he is saying these adventures he must have been through all of them. Now the mara are mentioned in that list - why would he mention them unless he has already met them twice - there fore aftersnakedance.
This is of course a complete overuse of logic. The first argument (that he is trying to figure out where he is) is reasonable - but if he doesn't now where he is, then how is he supposed to know which adventures he has or hasn't passed? If he is trying to figure out where he is by mentioning these stories, then perhaps he uses the mara to try and figure out whether the fifth has actually had his second meeting yet. It is therefore untrue to say that just because he mentions stories that they must have happened before the fifth doctor had this adventure. ==Martha Jones/Last of the Time Lords scene==
The scene that shows Martha Jones saying her farewell to the Doctor shown in the end of "Last of the Time Lords" is shown at the beginning of "Time Crash". Time Crash occurs after: DW: Warriors of the Deep

Time Crash occurs before: DW: The Awakening

That's a bit conclusive. I thought the special was fairly ambiguous about where the Fifth Doctor was from.

Canonicity[[edit source]]

Since there's been some debate over whether Time Crash "really" happened in the canon, I've imported a tidbit that I originalled added to the Wikipedia article on this story, in which Moffat told DWM that the story is canonical. And since he becomes the boss next year, that makes it pretty authoratative. 23skidoo 02:43, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Position[[edit source]]

An IP added the following this story must occur after Snakedance. I have seen this sort of thing before. The argument goes something like this:

Jack's the man - 20:49, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
