Toby Hadoke (born 2 January 1974) is an actor and comedian. He is known for his stand-up comedy show Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf, which has also been broadcast on BBC Radio, and for its successor My Stepson Stole My Sonic Screwdriver.

In 2013, he appeared in An Adventure in Space and Time.

Commentaries and home video features

Starting with the release of The Rescue & The Romans DVD Box Set in 2009 Toby became the main moderator of the DVD commentaries. He has since been the moderator on nearly all the William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton stories released since then and even some Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison stories.

In 2015 Toby again used his DVD moderating skills in a new venture called WhoTalk run by Fantom Films. This initially provided commentary tracks, on CD and download, for The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear (which at the time did not have any). These sold well and soon they began releasing alternative commentary tracks for already existing stories featuring different actors and production staff.

In 2020, as well as moderating the commentary track, he was credited as a Doctor Who Consultant, along with Charles Norton on the animated release of The Faceless Ones.

Since The Collection Blu-ray box sets started to be released in 2018, Toby has contributed a number of features for the extras including The Doctor Who Cookbook Revisited.

Podcasting

In 2013, Toby set out to interview someone connected to every Doctor Who story. The series of interviews were released by Big Finish Productions in the form of a regular podcast entitled Toby Hadoke's Who's Round and ended in 2019, lasting 251 episodes. The following year, he launched his own independent podcast, Toby Hadoke's Time Travels, which explored various aspects of Doctor Who from in-depth looks into each episode of the series, to essays analysing a particular niche aspect of the series.
