Mrs Lloyd was a London housewife who hurried to get her husband and son into their air-raid shelter when the sirens started during their evening meal, (TV: The Empty Child) in late January 1941. (TV: Everything Changes)
Many of the locals assumed, incorrectly, that she was having an affair with the local butcher, Mr Haverstock, which explained how she always had lots of meat to feed her family. (TV: The Doctor Dances)
