Plark was one of the slaves owned by John Harrison. He was the leader of the Skullions and directed the holographic copy of Joseph Serf. Though he hated his work, he feared Harrison too much to fight back. He also cared about others and tried to help Luke Smith and Sky Smith even though he would likely be punished.
In 2011, Plark was one of the Skullions working on the hologram of Joseph Serf. When Luke and Sky broke in, he tried to help them escape, which got him punished by Harrison. He brought Luke and Sky food and water after they were captured. Sarah Jane and Adriana Petrescu were able to help Plark and the other Skullions escape. (TV: The Man Who Never Was)

- Plark was Dan Starkey's first and only role in The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was also his first TV character who wasn't a Sontaran. In Doctor Who, Starkey played Commander Skorr and Lieutenant Skree in The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky, Commander Jask in The End of Time, and the recurring character Commander Strax beginning with A Good Man Goes to War. Also, he played Cravnet and Jaka in the audio stories Robophobia and The First Sontarans respectively. He later played Ian, one of Santa Claus' elves in TV: Last Christmas.
