Idris Hopper was Margaret Blaine's secretary. He tried, unsuccessfully, to stop the Doctor entering her office as she fled through an open window. (DW: Boom Town)
Idris also helps Captain Jack Harkness uncode Bilis Manger's diary in the Torchwood novel; The Twilight Streets. He takes two retcon tablets afterwards, and forgets all about Jack, accepting a job offer in Belgium that Bilis had previously predicted in a conversation with him.
It is also revealed in The Twilight Streets that after the events of Boom Town, Captain Jack takes Idris out to a restaurant to dinner. During this dinner, Jack slips a retcon tablet into Idris' cold pasta, with the intent of making Idris forget all about Jack, and the Doctor. For a reason that is unknown, the retcon tablet fails to work on the secretary.
Idris states in a later conversation with Jack that the Captain had only given him a retcon pill to make him forget. He also accuses Jack that the Captain was planning to sleep with Idris because Jack knew that the secretary would not remember him in the morning.
It is also found in The Twilight Streets that Idris' favourite pizza is ham and pineapple.
