When the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler came to Platform One, he did said they had not been invited. The Doctor used his psychic paper to trick the steward and he allowed them in. He introduced the guests on Platform One, and made announcements via an intercom. The steward was killed by one of Lady Cassandra's metal spiders when it released the sun filter that burnt him.
