Castrovalvans were a humanoid species native to Castrovalva, created by Adric after the Tremas Master exploited his abilities with Block Transfer Computations using a Hadron web. The Castrovalvans were lead to believe that they were once a tribal people, but developed into a democracy and, due to this, failed to see how the dimensions of their city didn't add up. This was until the Fifth Doctor arrived and managed to convince the Castrovalvans to rise up against the Master. After Adric escaped from the Hadron web, Castrovalva crumbled, along with the Castrovalvans. (TV: Castrovalva)
