The Drayton Court was a hotel, located at 2 The Avenue, Ealing, London. Its ground-floor pub was a popular gathering place for residents of the adjacent Perivale.

Len and Harvey worked in the grocery located next-door, to the north.

Former Perivale resident Ace McShane returned to the Drayton Court's pub on a Sunday in 1989, in search of her friends. Her visit was fruitless. Meanwhile, the Seventh Doctor shopped for cat food next-door. Ace was sitting despondent at the side-walk table when he emerged and asked her to pay for the cat food, as he was not carrying any currency.

Behind the scenes

The Drayton Court Hotel appeared as itself in the final "classic era" Doctor Who television serial, 1989's Survival. The interiors of Len's and Harvey's grocery next-door, however, were filmed 5.4 miles away, at 20 Medway Parade, Perivale, across the road from where the Doctor and Ace meet Ange.
