Neve McIntosh played Alaya and Restac in TV: The Hungry Earth and TV: Cold Blood, and Madam Vastra in TV: A Good Man Goes to War, TV: The Great Detective and WC: Vastra Investigates: A Christmas Prequel and in the 2012 Christmas special, TV: The Snowmen. She is best known to fantasy fans for playing Lady Fuchsia in the 2000 miniseries Gormenghast. In the autumn of 2010 she co-starred in the BBC miniseries Single Father alongside David Tennant and Suranne Jones.

In 2012, she narrated the audio book version of PROSE: Dark Horizons.
