Character Options manufactured Doctor Who action figures in the 5" scale which tied into the 2008 series of Doctor Who. The series began with figures from Voyage of the Damned that had not been included in the series 3 releases.

As was customary for Character Options, the figures were not actually 5" tall. Instead the Dalek figure was 5" tall, and all others were scaled to match. [1]

Figures were often released in batches, referred to as "Waves". Thus, a figure might be said to be in "Wave 1", "Wave 2", or the like.

Peculiar to this series, eleven figures were released separately as part of a branded "collect-and-build line". Each individual figure in this "line" contained component parts for another figure. When assembled, the parts created an 8" mounted Vespiform. A number of the figures in this "line" were also made available as a boxed character set — without the Vespiform parts.

Astrid Peth

  • A figure of Astrid Peth was available in the Voyage of the Damned set, with the Tenth Doctor previously available separately, two Heavenly Host figures with removable halos and a Titanic life preserver.
  • Astrid Peth was available in "The Companions" boxed set.
  • Astrid Peth was later reissued as part of a Collect-and-Build Gelth Phantom series.
  • There are two distinct versions of this figure, one with a white apron found in the Voyage of the Damned set and one without, which is found in "The Companions" set and single-carded.

Dalek: Supreme

  • The Supreme Dalek, as seen in The Stolen Earth, was released.
  • This was one of twelve Series Four figures released separately as a Collect-and-Build Vespiform Wave. This figure included the Head.
  • A 5" remote-controlled version of the Supreme Dalek was also released (along with a 12" remote control model).

Davros

  • Davros, as seen in The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, was released.
  • This was one of eleven Series Four figures released separately as a Collect-and-Build, with all the component parts contributing to an 8" mounted Vespiform.
  • This figure was also available in The Stolen Earth box set.
