Dave Oswald was Ellie Oswald's husband and Clara Oswald's father. He met Ellie after a leaf hit his face and she saved him from being crushed by a car. They fell in love, married, and had a baby called Clara. They lived together until Ellie's death, in 2005. (TV: Thr Rings of Akhaten) years later, he spoke to the Eleventh Doctor on the telephone while Clara was sleeping. He was very cross with the British government.
