- Each issue came with a DVD release covering two episodes.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.

- Ood-Sphere and Sense Sphere are both planets of the Horsehead Nebula.
- For series Three alone, some forty-four prosthetic and animatronic monster creations were made.
- Actor Michael Kilgarriff played the Cyber Controller in both Tomb of the Cybermen and again eighteen years later in Attack of the Cybermen.
- The Rutans, enemies of the Sontarans originated on Ruta III.
