Clement (The Council of Nicaea) was an ally of Arius. A fishmonger, he provided secret lodgings for the contentious Christian leader in Nicaea. Against Arius' wishes, he killed a man in defence of Arius' ideas. He also physically defended Erimem against Constantine's guards, and was briefly thought killed for his troubles. As the Fifth Doctor diagnosed, however, the wound had not, in fact, damaged any major organs. (AUDIO: The Council of Nicaea)
