On 13 October, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1965 - Tristram Cary records the incidental music for the first six episodes of The Daleks' Master Plan in about four hours. Horn, cello, percussion, flute, oboe and vibraphone are required for the recording.
