On 14 March, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1973 - Barry Letts officially gave the role of Sarah Jane Smith to April Walker. Since Jon Pertwee, the Doctor at the time, disapproved, although she was paid for the year, she did not actually end up filming. Elizabeth Sladen was later given the job instead.
