Lieutenant-General Sanchez was a high-ranking UNIT officer.
Profile
Sanchez was in command of UNIT when the Daleks invaded the Earth in 2009. He appointed Martha Jones, the Medical Director of Project Indigo which a teleportation system developed from Sontaran technology. Sanchez and the United Nations declared an Ultimate Code Red when the Exterminate message was sent by the Daleks to the Human race.
When the Daleks invaded UNIT New York Base, Sanchez and another soldier fended off the Daleks as Martha escaped by means of the Project Indigo prototype taking with her the Osterhagen Key. Sanchez was last seen firing a gun at a Dalek, without effect.

Behind the Scenes
- He ranked above Colonel Mace, Sanchez was the overall Head of UNIT, whilst Mace is in charge of the UK division. Sanchez answered to the Commander-General of the United Nations; who was seen later surrendering to the Dalek's after Sanchez and UNIT fell.
- Sanchez carried a revolver with a ivory style grip much like General George Patton in WW2.
