William James "Bill" Pullman (born 17 December 1953) is the American actor who played Oswald Danes in Torchwood: Miracle Day. His best-known prior roles in the science fiction arena included playing the President of the United States in Independence Day and starring in the Mel Brooks Star Wars spoof Spaceballs.
