The Cirranin were an ancient species that looked something like manatees, though smaller and with arms instead of fins. They had hearts and tear-ducts. Only one Cirranin remained alive.
Roughly 500 million BCE, the Cirranin were an advanced species that had sent expeditions into space. One of these explorers was the female scientist and pioneer Hr'oln. Unfortunately, while Hr'oln was exploring space, her home planet broke out into war and was eventually destroyed. Hr'oln was the only survivor; she was out exploring space while the planet was being destroyed. (NSA: The Last Dodo)
