Shell was human and part of the expedition to Venedel alongside the two Waskas, Arko and Forno, and Bernice Summerfield. After escaping the ship they were using to get to Venedel she was heavily burnt and was infected by the Ilijah. She went missing when Bernice and Dex Tinhar were moving through some air ducts. It was found that she had fallen into a status field and frozen suspended in mid air. When she was defrosted she was cured of her infection by a serum that Bantagel had.
