Characters

References

  • Forge personell call Alpha Facility "the madhouse", as it was once a lunatic asylum; this is a nod to the Forge's origins, a Scott/Wright TV pitch where it was called Bedlam.

Notes

  • The Forge started in the 1890s.
  • According to legend, nobody ever leaves the Forge and lives.
  • An unnamed woman is Director of the Forge, back in Whitehall. The Deputy-Director works at the Alpha Facility.

Continuity

  • Charles Crichton from TV: The Five Doctors is Deputy-Director of the Forge. In his early days in the British Army, he was friends with the fathers of William Dalton and Archie Brimmicombe-Wood (implied to be the fathers of Robert Dalton and Ross Brimmicombe-Wood from the UNIT audios). It's implied Crichton is separated from his family.
  • Major Philip Kirby from from UNIT audio AUDIO: The Longest Night appears as a Whitehall special envoy, not yet working as the Prime Minister's Press Secretary.
  • ICIS villain Sergeant French (from AUDIO: The Coup) was in the Forge. He's recently been promoted from corporal and transferred to ICIS when the story takes place.
