Brandy was a type of spirit imbibed often by Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, but utterly hated by Sarah Jane Smith.

Captain Samuel Pike used it as a means to motivate his men on board the Black Albatross. (TV: The Smugglers)

Harry Sullivan suggested giving some brandy to Sarah Jane Smith after she had fallen unconscious from lack of oxygen. The Doctor told him to go fetch a bottle from his TARDIS. Sarah responded to the offer by making a disgusted noise and stating she hated brandy. (TV: The Ark in Space)
