Sultan was the leader of the country that the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. He imprisoned the Doctor, as a common thief. The Doctor wanted something from his palace. He later asked Nyssa to tell stories of other worlds. (AUDIO: 1001 Nights) He heard of the Miaxa, (AUDIO: My Brother's Keeper) The Interplanetarian, (AUDIO: The Interplanetarian) and the Story Tellers (AUDIO: Smuggling Tales) He stole the identity of the the true Sultan from Nazar.
