Du Pont was a French soldier who had been abducted by the War Lords, who failed to hypnotise him into participating in their simulated version of the war. He fought against them as a member of the resistance. He, like all the surviving victims of the War Lords, was returned home by the Time Lords. (TV: The War Games)
