Croatia

Croatia was a European country that had a border with Bosnia. A great number of vampires were at one point present in Croatia and the local culture was heavily influenced by lore which held even late into the 20th century. In the 1940s, the vampire Yarven was captured, shot, and buried by Catholic partisans, one of the factions under the banner of General Tito, under which the country ultimately became Communist. In 1994, there was a conflict on the border of Bosnia and Croatia, in which Serbia was also involved. At this time, the Time Lord Ruath and a group of vampires brought from Manchester unearthed the still living Yarven from his grave. (PROSE: Goth Opera)
