Peter Whitaker (12 February 1921-24 November 2002) played Inspector Gascoigne in the Doctor Who story The Faceless Ones. He also had uncredited roles in many other stories including a Weather Station Worker in The Seeds of Death (DWM 274), a Solonian in The Mutants (DWM 230), a Thal Politician in Genesis of the Daleks (DWM 250), a Mentiad in The Pirate Planet (DWM 253) and a Greek in Four to Doomsday (DWM 213).
