Polo Grounds

The Polo Grounds was the part of the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco which served as the venue for the Human Be-In, a massive celebration of the American counterculture movement in 1967. (PROSE: Wonderland)

Behind the scenes

In the 21st century, the area is more usually called the Polo Fields. However, there is contemporary artwork from the Human Be-In which supports both Fields and Grounds as names in use in 1967 for the venue.
