George Layton played Technician Penn in the Doctor Who story The Space Pirates. He also voiced Stefan Lehne in the Big Finish Counter-Measures audio story Unto the Breach and Louis Markell/Human Guard in the Doctor Who audio story The Havoc of Empires.
Layton's other credits included Z-Cars, The Likely Lads, Dixon of Dock Green, The Liver Birds, Coronation Street, The Sweeney and The Bill.
