Invasion of the Bane (TV story)

The Invasion of The Bane is the pilot episode of the forthcoming children's series, The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Plot

Maria moves in across the road from Sarah Jane and that night, sees her talking to an alien. When Maria's dad tries to introduce himself to her, she dives in her car to follow Maria and her new friend, Kelsey to the Bubble Shock! factory, which she believes is run by aliens.

Her theory turns out to be right and a boy, the Archtype, escapes from the factory. He doesn't really understand what is going on but he meets Maria and they escape with Sarah Jane. They leave Kelsey, who got lost in the factory and go home.

Sarah Jane tells Maria to go away and forget everythign she saw for her own safety. Then she takes the boy inside and discovers he has no belly button and that he was only born 360 minutes earlier. Maria then comes nocking on her door, and Sarah Jane gets mad, but she sees that Maria and Kelsey have come to warn her about one of the Bane from the Bubbleshock! factory who has come to kill her.

Sarah Jane scares the monster away and thats when they discover her attic is full of research and alien artifacts.

This is when K-9 makes his appearance and it is revealed for 18 months he has been in space trying to close a black hole.

After an attempt to peacefully force them away, they head to the bubbleshock factory and the Archtype uses a cosmic mobile phone to destroy the Bane.

Once they all get home and everyone is safe, Sarah Jane ends up adopting the boy and calling him Luke, and everyone lives happily ever after... for now.
