Added a Behind the Scenes section to cover off Moffat's comments in DWM 504. Although we can't include them in the "in-universe" section as there's yet to be anything on screen to support it, statements by the showrunner - and the creator of the Hybrid concept - need to be acknowledged, so I put them in here.
