Rijksmuseum was a museum in Amsterdam.
The Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa visited an exhibit of Rembrandt van Rijn in Rijksmuseum. (AUDIO: The Waters of Amsterdam)
Later, the Seventh Doctor saved Rembrandt's painting The Night Watch from this museum before it burned down. (AUDIO: Dust Breeding)
Behind the scenes
The production materials for The Waters of Amsterdam [1] featured an incorrect spelling "Rijkmuseum" but the writer's notes for the story by Jonathan Morris [2] gave the correct spelling.
