Private Steve Robins was a UNIT member who served under Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. He succumbed to race memories of Silurians while trapped in some caves under Wenley Moor. (TV: Doctor Who and the Silurians)

He was later taken to the Glasshouse and spent six weeks there before returning to the regular army. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)

Behind the scenes

Robins' first name was not given on screen, only in the novelisation. Robins is killed in the novelisation in a scene not hinted at on screen, and directly contradicted by the novel The Scales of Injustice, which states he survived. In the novelisation, the Silurian Morka controls Robins' mind and forces him to leap off a chasm to his death. The rest of the Brigadier's team in the caves is out of range, and only Robins—the weakest—could be controlled by him.
