Mr Chambers was the conductor and leader of the band that played during the annual dance in Farringham's village hall. Shortly after they sent Daughter of Mine on an infiltration mission, the rest of the Family of Blood and their scarecrows caused a disturbance when they grabbed him and kidnapped him so they could raid the dance while he could do nothing, as he was bound and gagged. Luckily, Martha Jones happened to be walking by and he called out for her to rescue him.
