Dr Leishman was the medic on the colony of Alpha One. When a blizzard forced the colonists to take shelter in the town, Dr Leishman arrived too late to deliver Kate and Gabe's newborn baby, the Fifth Doctor already having delivered it. (PROSE: Far Away in a Manger)
