The Westacre Hunt was an annual fox hunt and the highlight of the Westacre Estate's annual calendar.

The event was called off in 1926 due to thunder storms in the east of England which left the entire hunt area waterlogged and unsuitable for travel on horse-back. The majority of townsfolk were disappointed to miss the spectacle of the hunt. Nancy Horton, however, commented that the only good thing about "toffs" parading round and churning up the countryside was that they got rid of the foxes. The event was to be postponed until a later date.

Guests at the hunt were to include members of the British Royal Family, along with dignitaries from France, Italy and Luxembourg.

An article on the cancellation of the event, headed "Fox Hunt Wash Out", was featured on the front page of The Enquirer. (TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp)
