House Ixion was an ancient ruling House. Following the social upheaval prompted by the anchoring of the thread, its bloodline disappeared in the diaspora and, like House Catherion, it went into a long, drawn-out decline and eventual death. As House Lineacrux and House Mirraflex rose to take its place, the physical House itself became all but deserted by the time of the Imperator. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

Ixion's chapterhouse was the final outpost before the "nothing" of the Homeworld's southern mountains. It was considered to be "the edge of the world". (PROSE: The Return of the King)

The Imperator used the House as a location in which to found the Order of the Weal due to its remote location.

As the Order declined, the House fell into true abandonment. It may have been subsequently used as a site for the rearing of babels. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

First Ordinary Selvynkesh was a member of House Ixion. (AUDIO: Movers)
