The Scindia family was one of India's most influential families.
Their ancestral home, Fortress Scindia, could be found in the Madhya Province at least from the 19th to the 24th centuries. It featured a gigantic statue of Kali inside and was equipped with the best security systems money could buy with some extraterrestrial technology mixed for a good measure.
The Scindias had been investing in space travel since 2014. By 2314, from the headquarters of Scindia-Corp in Mumbai, they controlled a vast intergalactic business empire. Chandra Scindia was the patriarch of the family and head of Scindia-Corp.
They hired Tiger Maratha to find four swords of Kali. After he retrieved three of the swords, they killed him in 2314 thinking that he was hiding the fourth sword from them. (COMIC: The Swords of Kali)
