Tam Williams played Cedric Chivers in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story Hunters of Earth, Tom in Point of Entry and Gus Kalwarowksy and Dave and Martin in The New Counter-Measures: Series Two.

He is the son of Simon Williams and the nephew of Kate O'Mara.

When his father played played Group Captain Ian Gilmore in the Doctor Who television story Remembrance of the Daleks, Tam appeared as an extra in the opening scene of part one. (BFX: Point of Entry) He was the schoolboy whose 1980s blue jeans stood out because the story was supposed to take place in 1963. Sophie Aldred points out this fact on the DVD audio commentary. (DCOM: Remembrance of the Daleks)
