Charles Jeanes was the visual effects designer for the Doctor Who television story Vengeance on Varos. He was also an uncredited visual effects assistant on Full Circle (INFO: Full Circle) and Warrios' Gate. (INFO: Warriors' Gate)

He didn't have much of a career outside the mid-1980s. His other major work was on the groundbreaking documentary, The Day the Universe Changed, which, like Varos, was from 1985. He had also joined with Peter Wragg for a memorable 1982 Play for Today called Another Flip for Dominick, which involved time travel and featured Michael Gough, Ysanne Churchman and Sylvia Coleridge.
