Captain Rostrum was an artificial plant lifeform that served as captain and crew of the EBV Nevermore. Its form was a mass of trunks with roots, tendrils, leaves, and seed pods. Everywhere it grew it could sense its surroundings; if parts of its body died, it could no longer know what happened in those areas, and its memory would suffer as well.
