Julian Milton was a young, red-headed resident of Perivale in the 1980s and Ace's friend. He was a few years older than her. They had met when fifteen-year-old Ace had ducked into a pub to avoid Midge.
One day in September, Ace and Julian took a trip to Lincolnshire and walked around Lincoln Cathedral talking. Later, as they were preparing to return home, Ace noticed a road on the map that seemed to lead nowhere. They drove down it and found it led to a prison. (PROSE: Love and War)
The pair once went to Margate together, and when they returned, Ace found her father Harry McShane had had a stroke. (PROSE: Lucifer Rising)
In 1987, Ace and Julian planned to get away together for a week. She had packed supplies and clothes on the day the time storm sent her to Iceworld.
In 1993, Ace attended Julian's funeral. After Julian's death, he became part of the Hoothi group mind. (PROSE: Love and War)
